Legazpi Tower-House

It is popularly known as "Legazpi House" as it is the birthplace of Miguel López de Legazpi (1500/1502- 1572), colonizer of the Philippine Islands.

This tower house was built in an era known as "War of Sides" (14th-15th centuries), a period before the birth of Miguel. In the "War of Sides", during prime feudal period, the feudal lords, divided into "oñacinos" and "Gamboínos", wanted to assign the Gipuzkoan territories to themselves. Thus, began the war between them.

Palace–House of the Ipeñarrieta

Outside the urban limits of the town, we can find the slopes of Mount Irimo, the Palace-House of the Ipeñarrieta.
It is a 575 square meters building with rectangular layout. A central body protrudes from it that corresponds to the staircase and rooms are distributed around it.

The noble floor shows the family shields made in white Carrara marble and the motto: "Soli deo et gloria".
