Saint Francisco de Borja in Ignatian Lands

From Ignatian Lands, the area where Ignatius of Loyola spent part of his childhood and youth, we propose following in the wake of Saint Francisco de Borja (1510 – 1572) throughout the region.

This proposal, this trail, includes more or less the route of Saint Francisco de Borja, IV Duque of Gandía and Marquis of Llombay and Viceroy of Catalonia, great-grandson of Pope Alexander VI, and the places where he was ordained as a priest and lived between April 6 1551 and March 29 1553. After he left Gandía, he went to Rome and then started his life as a Jesuit in Gipuzkoa.
